A Tanzania honeymoon safari with Tazan Tours is a private safari for two on the northern circuit, with two nights in a villa with its own plunge pool at Manyara’s Secret, a slow day with nothing planned, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. There are 4 honeymoon safaris, from 7 to 14 days, priced from $4,061 per person for two people sharing. Three of them end with a short flight to Zanzibar and three to five nights on Nungwi beach.
* Per person, two people sharing, 2027, in US dollars, in the lowest season each package runs. Includes all park and crater fees, and on the beach packages the flight to Zanzibar. Excludes international flights.

A honeymoon safari differs from an ordinary safari in its pace and its private moments. Every honeymoon package spends two nights at Manyara’s Secret beside Lake Manyara, in a villa with its own plunge pool, with the second day kept free: no early alarm, a walk by the lake, and in the evening a honeymoon celebration with song and dance by the lodge’s Maasai neighbours. In the Serengeti you stay at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, where soft drinks, local beers and house wine are included, and one night ends with a boma dinner under the stars. The last safari night is a suite at Ngorongoro Farm House, a working coffee farm in Karatu, with a honeymoon set-up of sparkling wine and fruit and a private sundowner. Your guide meets you at the airport in a car decorated with flowers, and the vehicle and guide are yours alone for the whole safari.
A Tanzania honeymoon safari with Tazan Tours costs $4,061 to $7,922 per person for two people sharing, depending on the length of the trip and the season. The price covers the private safari vehicle and driver-guide, every park, conservation and Ngorongoro Crater fee, all your lodges, the honeymoon extras above and, on the beach packages, the flight to Zanzibar, Zanzibar airport transfers and Zanzibar’s infrastructure tax.
The cheapest time is low season (Apr 1 – May 31), when the 7-Day Honeymoon Safari costs $4,061 per person. In mid season (Jan 6 – Mar 31 and Nov 1 – Dec 19) it costs $4,616 per person for two, or $3,858 each if another couple joins you, because the vehicle, guide and crater fee are shared. High season (Jun 1 – Oct 31 and Dec 20 – Jan 5) costs the most, because lodges charge their peak rates.
Not included: international flights and visas, travel insurance, tips for your guide and lodge staff, most drinks, and optional extras such as a balloon flight or Zanzibar excursions. See how a Tanzania safari price comes together for the park fees behind these numbers.
Seven days is enough for a honeymoon safari that does not feel rushed: two nights at the villa, two in the Serengeti and one on a coffee farm near the Ngorongoro Crater. To add the beach, the 10-day package adds three nights on Zanzibar’s Nungwi beach, the 12-day a third Serengeti night and a fourth on the beach, and the 14-day a night in Tarangire and a fifth on the beach. Compare all our Tanzania safari and Zanzibar packages for the shorter 9-day option without the villa. If you only want the beach, the 5-Day Zanzibar Honeymoon is four nights at Z Hotel in Nungwi, from $1,165 pp.
The 7-Day Honeymoon Safari runs all year, and the safari and Zanzibar honeymoons run from June to March, because the beach hotel closes in April and May. June to October is the dry season, when game viewing is easiest and lodges charge their highest rates. November to March is the green season, with lower prices outside the Christmas and New Year weeks, and January to February is the calving season on the southern Serengeti plains. April and May are the long rains and the cheapest months for a safari-only honeymoon.
