Who we are

Tazan Tours is a safari and travel company based opposite Amana Bank in Arusha, Tanzania. We decide how the personal details described on this page are used. For any privacy question, email info@tazantours.com or call +255 741 694 628.

What you send us

When you use Plan My Trip, an enquiry form or the contact form, we receive your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to add: phone number, country, travel dates, who is travelling, budget, trip preferences, how you heard about us and your message. The website sends these to our own inbox as an email. The website itself does not keep a copy in a database. If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is held by WhatsApp and on our phones.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to you, to put together a proposal, and, if you book, to arrange and run your trip. We do not sell your details and we do not add you to a newsletter unless you ask us to.

Who else sees it

If you book, we pass the details each supplier needs to the lodges, camps, park authorities, airlines and transfer partners on your itinerary, for example names for park permits and room bookings. Our website is hosted by Vercel and our email runs through our mail provider, so your enquiry passes through their systems on the way to us.

Cookies and analytics

Nothing that tracks you loads until you press Accept on the cookie bar. If you accept, we use Google Analytics to see which pages bring travellers to us, Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (it hides what you type into forms), and the Meta pixel to measure our Instagram and Facebook adverts. If you decline, none of them load. Your choice is stored in your own browser so we don’t ask on every page.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to plan your trip and answer follow-up questions. If you book, we keep booking records for as long as Tanzanian accounting and tax rules require. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, and withdraw your cookie consent with the button above. Email info@tazantours.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you live in the UK or the European Union and you are unhappy with our answer, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
