Day 1

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport

Your guide meets you at arrivals with a car decorated with flowers and drives you to Arusha for a quiet first night.

Tarangire, then Manyara's Secret

A game drive in Tarangire among elephants and baobabs, then on to Manyara's Secret beside Lake Manyara and your private plunge-pool villa.

A slow day for the two of you

No early alarm. Walk along the lake in the morning, meet the lodge's Maasai neighbours, and end the day by the campfire. In the evening the neighbours celebrate your honeymoon with traditional song and dance.

Day 4

Into the Serengeti

Through the Ngorongoro highlands and onto the open Serengeti plains, with a game drive on the way to camp.

A full day in the Serengeti

Dawn and late-afternoon drives when the animals are most active, a long lunch in between, and a boma dinner under the stars to finish.

Ngorongoro Crater

Down into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon on the crater floor, then a suite at Ngorongoro Farm House, a working coffee farm in Karatu, with a honeymoon set-up and a private sundowner waiting.

Fly to Zanzibar

Drive to Arusha airport for the short flight to Zanzibar, then transfer to Z Hotel on Nungwi beach.

Practical information

Getting there: Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and home from Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). Book an open-jaw ticket, into one and out of the other.
Good to know: Z Hotel closes in April and May, so this trip runs June to March. Prices are per person sharing and include every park and crater fee, the flight to Zanzibar and Zanzibar's $5 per person per night infrastructure tax. Manyara's Secret has one dedicated honeymoon villa with a private terrace for dinner; it goes to the first couple to book each date.
