Your guide meets you at arrivals with a car decorated with flowers and drives you to Arusha for a quiet first night.

Tarangire National Park
Your first game drive in Tarangire, among elephant herds and ancient baobabs, then on to camp for the night.

Into the Serengeti
Climb through the Ngorongoro highlands and down onto the Serengeti plains, with a game drive on the way to camp.

A full day in the Serengeti
Head out at dawn when the cats are most active, rest at camp through the midday heat, then drive again until sunset and finish with a private sundowner.

Ngorongoro Crater
A last morning in the Serengeti, then down into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon on the crater floor. Overnight in the green hills of Karatu.

A slow breakfast, then the drive to Arusha airport for the short flight to Zanzibar and a transfer to Z Hotel on Nungwi beach.

Practical information

Getting there
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and home from Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). Book an open-jaw ticket, into one and out of the other.
Good to know
Z Hotel closes in April and May, so this trip runs June to March. Prices are per person sharing and include every park and crater fee, the flight to Zanzibar and Zanzibar's $5 per person per night infrastructure tax. If a named camp is full on your dates, we suggest one of the same standard before you book.

Hot air balloon flight

Lift off at sunrise and drift over the plains for about an hour, then land for breakfast in the bush.
